Resources to inspire family ministry

With Spring in the air and some nice weather too, there is no better way to spend time than with my wife and kids. For churches, parent and toddler work can transform relationships and strengthen families, yet sometimes men may have very limited access to the parent and toddler world.

The time is 9.30am, the day is Maundy Thursday and there’s a definite chill in the air! Only a few days ago, I was wearing shorts and flip-flops in the garden; however the priority for today was keeping dry and warm. The start of the youth pilgrimage was about to begin and sixteen young people and leaders were poised outside St Paul’s Church in Chippenham, eager to get the 2012 youth pilgrimage underway. Malmesbury Abbey, the destination, thirteen miles away.

Due to the success of the Next Generation Conference in October 2011, the Youth and Children’s Advisers from the Dioceses of Bristol and Bath & Wells are teaming up to tour both dioceses in 2012 with free training for children and youth leaders, church leaders, teachers and headteachers.
